What you will do

You’ll be working on the Voice Platform that allows customers to receive and make voice (i.e. phone) calls with their preferred systems. Whether it’s a contact center or a scaled enterprise, the team offers a scalable and global platform consisting of many VoIP services. Think of SIP trunks, Voice APIs, and Voice Numbers. As the Voice Platform is the beating heart of the product, your ideas and contribution can make a lot of impact.

As a software developer of the team, you’ll be focusing on the development of the platform. Behind this lies a complex system that is responsible for setting up and ending calls, including the routing and connections from and to other well-known carriers. As your work also impacts our network, you’ll likely collaborate with the network team and other teams that integrate the voice solution such as the Mobile Service Cloud or AI Cloud.

As our new software engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technologies and a background in computer networking and Linux operation systems, you are to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions.

For this role, you ideally have

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or similar.

  • Interest in Software engineering, C# knowledge is preferred.

  • Experience with Angular, Python, Lua, RabbitMQ is a plus.

  • Knowledge of DevOps, computer networking and Linux operating systems is nice to have.

  • Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, Mariadb and/or Postgresql.

  • Understanding of real-time systems, concurrency, queueing, and high availability systems.

  • Knowledge of Kamailio, OpenSIPS, FreeSwitch, Asterisk, other open source VOIP software, SIP, RTP or WebRTC is nice to have.

  • Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.

  • Located travel distance from the Breda office.
