Now, we are looking for a Credit Controller to become part of the Credit Collection team in Breda

What you will do

Within the Credit Collection team, you are responsible for more than 5,000 customers worldwide and deal with more than 15 different entities. Different cultures, time zones, and communication styles add extra dynamism to this process. You are responsible for various debtor portfolios, each with its challenges. You prevent items from remaining open for too long and assess customers' creditworthiness. You follow up on outstanding invoices daily by telephone and in writing, with the ultimate goal of establishing a good relationship with a paying customer. For this, you will also be in daily contact with various internal teams (mostly Sales), nationally and internationally, and management.

You inventory, classify and handle outstanding disputes. In addition, the general inbox does not stand still, and here too, you ensure order and regularity. Furthermore, there is room for implementing improvement processes and optimizing procedures and reports. 

As a Senior Credit Controller, you will:

  • Manage diverse debtor portfolios across more than 18,000 customers and 15 global entities, navigating cultural differences, time zones, and communication styles.

  • Ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding invoices via phone and email, building strong relationships with customers to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Assess customer creditworthiness and mitigate financial risks while maintaining a good rapport.

  • Collaborate daily with internal teams, including Sales and Management, both nationally and internationally.

  • Handle and resolve disputes, maintaining an organized and up-to-date inbox.

  • Lead process improvements, optimize procedures, and enhance reporting systems.

  • Use tools like OnGuard for credit control and Unit4 for financial administration.

The Credit Collection team comprises of three people and is part of the finance operations team, you will directly work with your counterparts from billing/accounts payable, accounting, an application manager and a business analyst. You will directly report to Joost van Heusden

In short, a broad, challenging role in which you juggle many balls and act as the link between the various departments and entities and the customer. We use Onboard Credit Manager.

Additionally, you ideally have

  • A Bachelor’s degree.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar position.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.

  • A hands-on mentality with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Fluency in English and in Dutch, both written and verbal.
