What you will do

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our Product team and help us take our Customer Data Platform (CDP) to the next level. The CDP is a key part of CM’s architecture, serving as the central hub for customer data across the organization.

In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in building and evolving the platform:

• Designing and implementing new features

• Optimizing data processing pipelines

• Ensuring high reliability, scalability, and performance

You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team — including five developers, a Product Owner, and a UX Designer — working in two-week Scrum sprints. This setup gives you real influence over technical decisions and the direction of the platform.

A key aspect of this position is building robust and scalable data processing pipelines within our CDP. You'll work on integrating graph databases and optimizing performance to ensure efficient handling of complex customer data. This role plays a crucial part in enabling data-driven features across the company.

Additionally, you ideally have

• Platform Ownership & Builder’s Mindset: Experience designing and maintaining platforms as internal products. You focus on improving delivery speed and reliability by enhancing developer experience, performance, and scalability.

• Operational Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux/Windows environments, system monitoring, networking, and overall infrastructure reliability.

• Backend Architecture: Strong backend skills, 5+ years´ experience with C#, Web APIs, and microservices. Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Google Cloud (BigQuery, Bigtable, Pub/Sub), infrastructure as code using Terraform, and observability stacks (metrics, tracing, logging).

• Testing & Data Engineering: Comfortable with unit and integration testing. Solid understanding of graph theory and algorithms. Experience with large-scale data processing is a plus.

• Collaboration & Support: Ability to support development teams, assist in onboarding, and guide architectural decisions in dynamic environments. Willingness to engage across teams and foster shared solutions.

• Growth & Synergy: Open to learning and evolving. Excited to collaborate across IAAS, PAAS, and business units to reduce duplication and build scalable, reusable components

• Communication & Location: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus). You live within commuting distance of our Breda office and enjoy working in an international, multicultural environment.
