What you will do

Are you ready to push the boundaries of AI? As a pivotal player in our Generative AI team, you'll design and implement cutting-edge solutions on our centralized AI platform, empowering CM.com’s customers to manage and control AI-driven assistants. Our Generative AI team focusses on providing functionality and control around Large Language Models in combination with traditional NLP concepts to fully service our customers’ use-cases.

As a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer, you will innovate by designing and developing state-of-the-art machine learning models and algorithms, including LLMs, classification, and clustering techniques using familiar frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. Leading the way, you will mentor junior colleagues, nurturing talent and sharing expertise in a collaborative environment. Collaboration is key as you work closely with the team to build innovative products that are either customer-facing or integrated across the broader CM.com platform and product portfolio.

Currently, our product consists of a custom-built inference engine that’s able to process any question/instruction from the end-user providing fully customizable, autonomous AI agents across multiple domains (customer service, marketing, internal automation…). Part of your job will be to optimize the engine’s performance and efficiency, all while staying informed of industry advancements to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of technology. Additionally, you will contribute to shaping the technical vision and strategic roadmap of our Generative AI initiatives, driving the future of intelligent customer interactions.

Additionally, you ideally have:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer or equivalent.
• A M.S., or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
• Crazy enthusiasm when talking about AI. Large Language Models in particular.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a launch fast and iterate mentality.
• Bonus points if you have experience with software engineering and understand software practices.
• Fluency in English as we are an international and multicultural environment.
• And you are located within travel distance to our Tilburg office.
