What you will do
As financial controller you are part of the Reporting team, operating in a constantly changing environment to support the daily operations of the Finance Department. The Reporting team is responsible for the (consolidated) financial statements of CM.com N.V. and all statutory reports in the countries where the CM group has local presence. This means, you will prepare and review financial statements, communicate with local advisors and support our external auditors.
Besides external reporting, you take care of the monthly, quarterly and yearly internal reporting and help improving our financial control with the use of BI tooling, an example is creating group specifications. Besides financial information, also (non financial) sustainability reporting is a responsibility of the Reporting team. Also you will help integrating the administration of acquired companies in the CM.com procedures and systems. The finance department is centralized and relatively small, this means you working in the heart of international listed organization. Furthermore, you are (in)directly involved in interesting financial topics. With your relevant experience, you are able to improve finance processes and make an impact in our fast-growing environment.
Daily responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of statutory reports (including the CM.com NV financial statements)
- Take care of the financial controlling of all CM.com entities (40+), which includes accounting, statutory filings, tax and treasury matters;
- Prepare and improve internal closing processes;
- Improve our financial analyses in close collaboration with our BI team;
- Integration of the administration of acquired companies in CM.com procedures and systems;
- Be open to any new project that'll arise in the Finance department of a rapidly growing company.

Additionaly, you ideally have:
- A Master’s degree in Accounting is strongly preferred, a bonus would be a theoretical RA degree;
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, a bonus would be experience in an Accounting firm;
- Detail-oriented and strong analytical mindset and Excel skills and/or BI;
- A can-do mentality and a continuous improvement mindset;
- Fexible attitude and you like working in a changing organization;
- Presenting skills: you present your analyses and your advice in a structured and understandable manner.
