What you will do

  • As Product Owner of the E-mail team, you are responsible to lead the development of a completely new high throughput, globally scalable e-mail solution.
  • You will work with our ambitious development team located in India and are building a new product from scratch. You are comfortable working with a remote product team and can occasionally travel to India.
  • You create the product roadmap and manage the product backlog. To deliver the best value, you ensure you understand the market needs and customers’ problems and translate this into a clear product strategy. You ensure your team is working on the items that matter the most.
  • You collaborate with Product Owners, Sales & Marketing, Support, Legal and others in a global setting.
  • You focus on the products that are enabled by E-mail. This includes the E-mail gateway, but also the onboarding, configuration, logging and data analytics tooling. Essentially everything that a modern e-mail solution entails.
  • You ensure that our customers can rely on a globally redundant platform through continuous development and new points of presence (datacenter locations) and connectivity.
  • You understand that our services are an essential part of our customer’s business operations and stability, and reliability is therefore critical. Scalability is not an afterthought, but an essential part of the product development.
  • You play a pivotal role in the global expansion of the product as well as new commercial activities. This means that you enjoy working in an international setting and are willing to travel to customers, events or one of our global offices.
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team. We are starting this product now, but expect to have millions of messages processed within 12 months.

For this role, you ideally have

  • Experience working as a Product Owner. We expect you to hit the ground running, so you need to be comfortable acting as a Product Owner as of day 1.
  • It would be great if you have experience in the E-mail domain. If you don’t have experience, don’t worry; willingness to learn and affinity with the domain will get you there.
  • You operate in a global environment. You are comfortable in English. We are scaling out globally, which means that you have the flexibility to work with people in different time zones.
  • You don’t have stage-fright. We expect you to be able to present your work during internal meetings, at external events, or represent the company in customer meetings.
  • You will be working from our HQ (Breda) most of the time. You understand that part of your role is to meet with customers and prospects, so you can travel occasionally to meet customers (max 10% of your time). As your team is in India you want to spend time with the team so you need to travel to India twice a year.
